Family Information

Beginning this school year, ParentSquare will be the official communications platform for Hamilton County Schools. Every school in our district will use the same platform, creating a consistent communication experience throughout your children’s educational journey. With every school using the same system, families will no longer need to learn a new communication tool as children move between schools or as additional children enroll in the district. ParentSquare provides one central place to receive messages from the district, schools, classrooms, athletics, and extracurricular activities.

Please visit ParentSquare and use the email registered in your student’s PowerSchool account and select “Forgot Password.”

Once your account is activated, you can access ParentSquare from any web browser or download the free ParentSquare mobile app from the Apple App Store or Google Play.

ParentSquare also allows you to:

• Receive important school and district announcements.
• Communicate directly with your child’s teachers and school staff.
• Stay informed about classroom and school activities, events, and reminders.
• Complete forms, sign up for field trips, and respond to requests for school supplies. All within one platform.

If your information in ParentSquare is incorrect, please reach out to your child’s school for assistance updating your information in PowerSchool.

Often known as “before care” or “after care” by students and families, The Hamilton County Department of Education provides before and after school child care to accommodate parents who must leave for work before school begins in the morning and who do not get home until after school is out in the afternoon. Parents may sign a child up anytime during the school year. Full day service will be available on days when school is not in session, at some locations.

Alpine Crest is a CEP school, which allows all students to receive free breakfast and free lunch. To add money to a student’s account for additional items, such as ice cream, visit our school fees site or turn in to the homeroom teacher in an envelope with your child’s name on it.

We encourage all students to eat our cafeteria meals. Students who bring a lunchbox are also able to get a school lunch if needed.

If your child has documented food allergies, the cafeteria staff will input that in the computer so that your child will have another choice.

Lunch Boxes

Some children prefer to bring lunch from home. Please follow these guidelines:
Lunch should be nutritious and have low sugar content.
Canned or glass bottled soft drinks, or other sugary or power drinks are not permitted.
All lunch boxes should be clearly marked with the student’s first and last name. Students are not allowed to bring Fast Food items to school.
Additionally, lunch visitors may not bring in Fast Food meals for themselves or for the student with whom they are eating.

Lunch Visitors and Celebrations

Lunch is a great time for students to just be with their peers. Although parents are welcome to join their child for breakfast or lunch and pay for your meal, please try to limit these visits. Students need time with their peers. When you arrive, please sign in at the front desk and secure a visitor badge before joining your child in the cafeteria.

Outside food should not be brought to the cafeteria.

All visitors must sit with their child at the table closest to the stage. If celebrating a birthday, your child may choose no more than 2 students to sit with them at the table.
